North-East car dealership Benfield is offering customers the chance to use an electric bike, rather than a courtesy car, while their car is being serviced.

Benfield Nissan and Benfield Renault teamed up with e-bike firm Storck Raddar UK to offer the service to customers.

“This is a great idea from the team at Benfield Motor Group who are not only keen cyclists but forward thinking on electric transport," Ian Hughes, Managing Director Storck Raddar UK.

Benfield Motor Group operations director Colin Pybus:, “A number of city-centre customers had suggested they would prefer a courtesy cycle rather than a car to nip back home or back to work as it was more convenient for them.”
